Jean-Louis Coussot tests the FMS Ranger 1800mm in a 8 pages review, and he is captivated by this large semi-scale model. He highlights its realistic look, its flight qualities, the reduced weight and the fact that only 4S LiPo batteries are enough to make it fly perfectly.

Although it does not have gigantic bush-wheels like the PA-18, its STOL qualities are also widely mentioned.
